I'm not local - but it seems like everyone else in this coffeeshop was, and I mean that in the best way. Flywheel feels like a place where everybody knows everybody and the baristas know your dog. Now, for the coffee. They had a nice selection of single source beans. We went for the siphon preparation. I know it's nothing special as far as actual infusion, but how often do you find a shop that can actually make a siphon brew? We got the Ethiopian and Tanzanian beans which were both pleasant and distinct (the former being more earthy with subtle sweetness, the latter with more sour cherry notes). We watched the barista prepare our siphons, drank our coffees and enjoyed a crumb cake, watched the locals come and go, and just all and all had an extremely pleasant morning at Flywheel.

I really enjoy coming here. The coffee is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the pastries are fresh. You can work comfortably and there is a lot of space. There is also a nice outdoor space. The pastries can run out over the weekend so come early.

Really delicious chai latte! Super flavorful and not too sweet which I appreciated. It's hard to find a good chai and this one did not disappoint. Just wish the sizing was a bit bigger as I sipped mine down so fast! If I lived locally I would definitely come back.

Excellent mocha and latte's. If you care about quality coffee and lattes with perfect foam then this is your place. You can't go wrong with the great chill atmosphere, laid back vibe and music with a patio in the back. They do have a small selection of gluten free donuts and other bread goods to eat with your coffee. Come check this place out!

I met my girlfriend for a cup of coffee before we went for a walk at the Golden Gate Park. Just reading from reviews; I was kind of second-guessing the place but I had an amazing experience. The guy with a gorgeous hair that assisted us was amazing and was super nice. I ordered americano and since I asked for a splash of oat milk; he didn't charge me for the non dairy milk. This Americano was made to perfection with enough water/espresso ratio, just absolutely delicious. The place was busy with steady line and the onky thing I would say that the bathroom needed attending. CC accepted.

Absolutely loved this café! The atmosphere is super cool, welcoming, and the perfect place to relax. We ordered an Americano and a hot chocolate, and both were excellent rich, flavorful, and made perfectly. We also tried a caramel pastry with nuts, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything we had exceeded our expectations, and the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great coffee, tasty pastries, and a unique atmosphere. We will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every time we go to Flywheel Coffee Roasters, we leave feeling happier than when we walked in. Of course, the coffee is exceptional — their flat white is one of my absolute favorites in the city — but what truly makes Flywheel special is the people and the whole experience. The baristas are always so warm, approachable, genuine, and welcoming. You can really feel the care they put into creating a space where people want to slow down and stay awhile. It never feels transactional — it feels personal and cozy in the best way. And the pastries and savory items… honestly, everything we’ve tried has been delicious. We especially love all their croissants, especially the almond croissant. The banana bread, coconut gluten-free muffin, coconut donut, and cinnamon bread are all so good too. Flywheel is one of those rare places where the coffee, food, atmosphere, and people all come together beautifully. Such a gem in San Francisco.
